Anatomy of a Painting: Gambrill Mill Creek

I enjoy working at a slower pace especially when the motif is challenging.  I usually start with a light wash using burnt sienna.  The first stage concentrating on the drawing and compostion.  Second stage developing the value structure.  Third stage continue to develop and enhance and then only then add local color.
